EmpiricalHR - data-driven employee decisions - Issue #136
On this Monday a year ago Switzerland went into the first lockdown. I remember strapping my skis onto a backpack and hiking up to the top of the mountain above my home for one well-deserved run back to town. I had no idea how the world would turn-out. I had no idea what it meant for my business. What I did know was that it was sunny and that the snow wouldn’t last forever. Control what is controllable.
The changes forced by the last 12 months have accelerated many of the trends that we’d been observing and had been chronicling in this newsletter for years. Most People Analytics teams have had a good year, at least from a demand-perspective. Employee Experience has risen up the agenda. Senior executives have driven much of the workforce agenda.
Looking back we’ve had a very successful year. We’re building our team (anyone with deep text analysis knowledge, especially working with transformer models should get in touch) and are working with amazing new clients from around the world. Unfortunately many of the people whose feedback we analyse haven’t had as good a time. Our job is to help those voices be part of the conversation.
I hope that you enjoy this week’s selection.
